How to Choose the Right Dough Press
Use these questions after comparing models to narrow the best fit for your process.
Non-heated models keep the process simple when platen heat is not needed. Upper-heat models apply controlled heat from one side. Dual-heat models apply heat from both platens when the product or workflow benefits from two-sided temperature control.
Upper heat generally uses less power and may be sufficient for products that only need heat assistance from the top platen. Dual heat provides controlled heat from both sides.
Clamshell models use a compact hinged opening. Swing-away models move the upper pressing assembly away from the loading area, providing more open access to the lower platen.
Choose the platen shape and size around your finished product. Round 18-inch platens suit common pizza and tortilla formats, while rectangular platens serve products that need a wider rectangular working area.
Confirm available voltage, product type, target size and thickness, expected production volume and delivery location before quotation.
